Hot Leathers — Amazon Seller Data Handling Policy

Data Collection: Hot Leathers receives customer order information from Amazon Seller Central solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed on Amazon's marketplace. This data includes customer name, shipping address, order details, and contact information where provided by Amazon.

Processing: Amazon order data is processed automatically through a secure API integration that transfers order information directly into our order management systems (Shopify and ShipStation) for fulfillment purposes only.

Storage: Amazon customer data is stored exclusively in encrypted, cloud-hosted systems — Shopify (AES-256 encryption, SOC 2 Type II certified) and a private Railway-hosted PostgreSQL database (AES-256 encryption at rest). No Amazon customer data is stored on local devices, desktops, or removable media.

Use: Amazon customer information is used solely to fulfill orders, arrange shipping, and provide customer service related to those orders. It is never used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary for order fulfillment (i.e. our shipping carrier).

Sharing: Amazon customer PII is shared only with our fulfillment and shipping partners strictly as required to deliver orders. It is never sold or shared for any other purpose.

Retention and Disposal: Order data is retained for the period required by applicable tax and business record laws (typically 7 years). When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted from all systems. Access to systems containing Amazon data is restricted to authorized senior-level personnel only and is revoked immediately upon termination of employment.
