The Hot Leathers trucks are in place and the tents are going up! It’s rally time in Sturgis and we are so excited. This year we are setting up 10 tents in and around Sturgis, South Dakota. This is in addition to our huge store on 1000 Main St. that’s open year round. As we speak, we are opening up thousands of boxes and filling up our first couple tents on Main Street with the best rally merchandise. For the first time ever, we are a major sponsor of the Buffalo Chip campground which is conveniently located just outside of town off Hwy. 34. We’ll have 4 tents inside the Buffalo Chip compound for you to check out. That’s when you’re not busy watching bands like AEROSMITH , Chuck Berry, Toby Keith, and so many more. If you haven’t been to the party at the Buffalo Chip, you haven’t experienced Sturgis Bike Week.

Guido’s Car Hop Drive In restaurant in Manchester had their weekly Bike Night last night.  We showed up with tons of free giveaways, some models, and a couple of camera’s.  We got there early so we could eat some of Guido’s awesome food.  Take my advice, when ordering a 1/4 pound hot dog, make sure you have them add lots of cheese, mushrooms and onions.  Definitely one of my favorite hot dogs EVER.

The weather held out just long enough for us to set up our tent and fill it with shirts to give away.  It rained lightly for about 10 minutes then it all cleared up.  Bike’s started rolling in around 6pm and our booth was hopping!  They have a dj set up in front to keep the party moving and the air filled with classic rock hits.  The roller skating waitresses were some of our first free t-shirt customers, and they sparked the crowd to check us out.  We had free shirts  and $10 off coupons to give everyone that wanted one.  Our friends from the Haymond Law Firm also had a booth there.  They had models you could get your picture taken with and event schedules to keep you busy all summer long.

Make sure you stop Guido’s Bike Nights every wednesday night on Broad St. in Manchester, CT.  They have great food, fountain drinks, ice cream, everything an old time “car hop” would have including ROLLER SKATING WAITRESSES!  They even ride out to take your order, and give you your food!   Places like this used to be a dime-a-dozen, but now they’re not so easy to find, and Guido’s is definitely one of the best.

We are proud to announce that Hot Leathers® is a major sponsor of the 9th Annual MS Motorcycle Ride hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter. The ride will be held on August 2nd. Last year hundreds of bikers hit the road to help in the fight against MS. This year will be even bigger!

The ride will be a 50-mile cruise through Connecticut’s countryside and back roads. This years ride features a down home barbeque and finish line activities that include live music, vendors, drawings for prizes and much more. The ride kick starts from Cadillac Ranch at 11 a.m. which is located at 45 Jude Lane in Southington.
